Mental health is more than a temporary job, it's a lifestyle. I have been advocating in mental health and trauma for a long time and that's where I have been able to find my passion. Suma Hodge is a licensed professional counselor and behavioral health professional. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in Complex Trauma. She is well versed in substance abuse, serious mental illness, and trauma. Suma is a trusted advocate for mental health in urban communities. As an entrepreneur, she helps establish behavioral health companies by providing clinical oversight, training, therapeutic efficiency, speaking engagements, private events, and professional developments training. She has been a pillar in the mental health community for well over a decade. She obtained her independent license, trauma certification, and is a trained clinical supervisor. As a statewide Clinical Director of a mental and behavior health company she oversees the day to day clinical observation of the clinical department and company-wide development of trauma-informed care across multiple states. Suma spends time facilitating and participating in mental health discussions across the valley and nationwide spreading awareness, education, and busting through barriers and mental health myths. She started a mental health advocacy foundation to help support up and coming mental health practitioners and provide scholarships for students with interested in mental health fields.
When she's not helping her patients or company clients she enjoys time with family and her two dogs.
